The North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) is pleased to announce their upcoming Summer Concert Series on the Waterfront this year! As part of their 15th Anniversary Summer Performance Season, concerts will be held at the Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. each Thursday Night in July. Special to the series this year is longer concerts and children’s programming at our ‘story-telling tent’ with I AM Books from 6 to 8pm. Each concert will be a meeting place for friends and neighbors to gather, be entertained, and enjoy their own picnics for a relaxing night out in the Park.
The NEMPAC Summer Concert Series is free and open to the public. This series is possible with support from our sponsors including NorthEndBoston.com, TD Bank, My Summer In the City Boston Foundation, Boston Parks, Andrea and Arthur Waldstein, Mayor Walsh’s Boston Center for Youth and Families Summer Fun Grant and the Boston Cultural Council.

About NEMPAC: NEMPAC is the North End of Boston’s key resource for arts programming. A group of North End mothers founded NEMPAC in 2001 in an effort to create musical programming for their children. As of October 2016, we are serving over 920 students a week through our education programs and partnerships. NEMPAC concerts and special performance projects, like the NEMPAC Opera Project, aim to make the North End of Boston a destination for the arts and culture. As we continue to grow as a Performing Arts Center, NEMPAC fosters creativity and elevates social culture in our community through quality programming and education accessible to all.
Woohoooo!! Eight to the Bar is the most popular swing band in the Boston area dance circuit! Can’t believe they’re playing for free . . . at at the Boston Harbor (usually $18-$20) . . . and we’ll take a picnic supper and dance barefoot in the grass. Can’t wait!! Christopher Columbus Park, 105 Atlantic Ave, looking over the harbor. See you there!
