Wednesday, October 28

6:30pm Notable Italian Americans at North End Library [25 Parmenter St, Boston]
Lawerence DiCara A first-generation Italian-American who emerged from Dorchester’s then-Irish-dominated Ward 17, DiCara, was elected to the Boston’s city council at age 22. His book, “Turmoil and Transition in Boston: A Political Memoir from the Busing Era” focuses on his years as a member of the Boston City Council.

7:00pm Film: Boston’s North End: America’s Italian Neighborhood at West End Museum 150 Staniford Street
(2015; Documentary) Boston’s North End: America’s Italian Neighborhood.  Through interviews and archival film footage, this documentary tells the story of the families, the friendship, the food and the hard work in the vibrant Italian-American community that has called the North End home for more than 100 years. Highlights include events like the Great Molasses Flood and the Sacco and Vanzetti funeral. $10 fee, visit the West End Museum for more information.

Thursday, October 29

6:30pm Doggie Trick or Treat [North End, Boston]
Doggie Trick or Treat- Celebrate Halloween with Fido! Get your costumes ready! Meet in the Richmond Street dog run to receive a list/map of participating locations for our dogs to “trick or treat.” After, RUFF will be getting owners and friends together for a Halloween get together at The Living Room. Friday, October 30

10:00am Freeway Halloween at Post Gazette [5 Prince Street]
Freeway invites all dogs to stop by the Post-Gazette in Boston’s North End from 10am – 6pm, for a free Doggie Halloween Treat Bag! View the event posting.

2:00 Haunted Halloween Carnival at Nazzaro Center
ROC Teen Saturday Halloween Carnival and Haunted House with rides, bounce houses, free pumpkin patch, pumpkin carving station, free pizza, candy, crafts and music. All welcome, starts right after school and lasts until 6:00pm. View the events post.

Saturday, October 31

5:00pm Halloween Party on the Prado [Paul Revere Mall, Boston]
The 9th Annual Community Halloween Party on the Prado will be a fun, safe, family event on Halloween. Free Pizza will be served starting at 5:30 p.m. There will be games, arts & crafts, music, and fun fun fun! And of course – wear a costume!!!
