
Officers from Boston Police were on hand at the July 2nd North End Public Safety meeting to talk about neighborhood crime in the past month.
Commercial Street car accident – July 1, 2015. In the evening hours of July 1st, a male driver swerved and crashed into a parked Mercedes Benz car and street light pole on Commercial Street. On the arrival of police, a syringe was sticking out of suspect’s arm implying he was attempting to shoot up heroin while driving. He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and will be summonsed to court. Luckily no innocent bystanders were injured.
There were 5 arrests and 3 car break-ins during the past 30 days.

Assault & Battery (Road Rage) – Words were exchanged in traffic and a fight ensued, leading to a father and son from Everett being arrested and charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon (knife). They stabbed a male victim at Hanover and Prince Streets and fled in their motor vehicle, leading to both of them being arrested on Commercial Street. [6/13/15 ~ 1:45pm]

Police Officer’s responded to a Breaking & Entering in progress at the future Eliot School (former North Bennet Street School) which is under construction. Responding officers heard someone inside and climbed the scaffolding to gain entrance and found construction power tools piled up. At this time the male suspect fled on foot and a foot chase ensued. The suspect was caught hiding behind a Charter Street residence and placed under arrest. [06/09/15 ~ 1:46am]
A male suspect was arrested and charged with Assault & Battery on a Police Officer after the male became belligerent with police officers and attempted to pull the officers firearm from his holster.
On June 22, 2015, police responded to the Commercial Street tennis courts next to the Charlestown Bridge where a male suspect was masturbating by the bridge. He was arrested and charged with open and gross lewdness.
