Gallery: Sand Sculpting Festival at Revere Beach

Hundreds of thousands visited America’s first public beach this weekend for the 12th annual Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival. The Revere Beach boardwalk is filled with food trucks and vendors, live music and the featured presentation of the Master Sand Sculptor Competition. This year’s theme is “The Spirit of Massachusetts” with a centerpiece sand sculpture featuring the iconic state landmarks. The winning sculpture is the first in the photo gallery, “Open Your Mind and Let Your Spirit Fly.” Photos by Matt Conti.

  1. Matt. Great close-ups for those who are not able to attend. The “Spirit of Massachusetts” sculpting is near perfect ! A few of the sand sculptures are a bit weird, but it all balances out….right?

  2. Matt,
These are great pictures. I feel as if I was there and saw the sculptures up close. Thank you.
