The new owners 3-5 Quincy Court presented preliminary information to the North End / Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) regarding a planned renovation and addition at the currently vacant 3-story building. The property is located off North Square near Ricardo’s Ristorante and V. Cirace & Son Liquors in Boston’s North End.
An earlier abutters meeting raised several concerns by neighbors that have yet to be resolved. The expansion of units, floors and window configuration were topics of discussion given the close proximity of neighboring buildings. In addition, trash and public safety issues (egress/fire access) in the rear alley were raised. The proponents have withdrawn roof deck concepts after hearing from the abutters. The renovated building would be for rental apartments.
The proponents will return to NEWNC with revised plans after further negotiation with the abutters.
