The folks from Greenovate Boston are raising the excitement level for the ongoing composting pilot program in the North End that is soon to expand throughout the city. Project Oscar consists of containers located at the Nazzaro Center playground where residents drop off food scraps at their convenience. The program not only gets food out of the waste stream but also solves the problem of where to store scraps in condos and apartments.

This is an excellent program and so easy to participate in. Here is the link for anyone who would like to sign up:

I have been composting since this program started and I am still doing it ! I think it is a great idea and a well run program for any area but ~~ especially our’s !
I am a strong advocate of any suggestion that helps deter feeding the RATS ~~~~~ This is a great start to accomplishing a lead into helping to lessen this grave problem !
Between re-cycling and composting~~~I feel like I am surely doing my share in changing a GROWING PROBLEM !
It takes very little effort, and a lot of concern to just “DO SOMETHING” Thank You for listening.
