The holiday season is certainly here! With the windy cold weather, snowfall, and decorations around the neighborhood, it is the sure sign of winter. Despite the daylight being shorter and the weather being colder, there are still many great events to take advantage of around the neighborhood. 

Tuesday, December 16

6:30pm Boston Tea Party Reenactment at Old South Meeting House
The 241st Anniversary Boston Tea Party Reenactment. Gather at Old South Meeting House, where the colonists met in 1773, with colonial agitators like John Hancock, Paul Revere — and some crown-loving Loyalists — to debate the tea tax and demand liberty from the British crown! This event is presented by Old South Meeting House and the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum. Price is $25. Get Tickets

7:00pm NEWRA Zoning, Licensing & Construction (ZLC) Committee Meeting – Mariner’s House

3:00pm Downtown Waterfront Planning Meeting at Atlantic Wharf, 290 Congress St., 2nd Floor
Downtown Waterfront Municipal Harbor Planning Advisory Committee will hold their monthly meeting, view powerpoint presentations and material.

6:00pm Movie: Boys Town at North End Library, 25 Parmenter Street
December Films at the North End Library presents: Boys Town (1938). Spencer Tracy and Mickey Rooney star in this biographical drama about Father Flanagan who struggles to find a home for delinquent boys. The cost is free with an adult target audience, runtime: 96 min. 

6:30pm College: Getting There from Here at North End Library [25 Parmenter St, Boston}
Talks & Lectures presents, College: Getting There from Here. The cost is free and the target audience is young adults (Ages 20-34). Financial Advisor Jack McCarthy will show you strategies to help you reach your financial goals, and the features and benefits of 529 college savings plans. 6:00pm Christmas Concert at Sacred Heart Church
The Saint Leonard Choral Society is having their annual Christmas Concert in Boston’s North End. Tickets are $10 and can be bought at the door, or in advance at the parish office. There will be coffee and dolci following the performance, view post.

3:00pm World Peace Candlelit Labyrinth Walk at Armenian Heritage Park on Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway
