The Friends of The North End, established in 1972 by a group of North End men, held a bocce banquet celebrating the end of their Fall season at Su Chang’s restaurant in Peabody on Monday, November 3, 2014. The banquet summed up their eighth year of competition. The event recognized Charlie Coppola as this season’s most valuable player, along with the team one champions Vito Alula, Paul Dabene Jr., Angelo DiGirolamo and Pat Reppucci. Commissioner Sam Vicione awarded each with a trophy for their status. Charlie Marino was also recognized for his dedication and contributions. It was a gala event enjoyed by all. The Friends are looking forward to next Spring’s tournament.
