6:00pm Evening for Education at Vinoteca di Monica

Wednesday, November 12

6:00pm Marx Brothers Movie: Duck Soup at North End Library, 25 Parmenter St.
Marx Brothers Films: Duck Soup (1993)  this event is free free, (run time 68 minutes). In this 1933 film, Rufus T. Firefly is named president/dictator of bankrupt Freedonia and declares war on neighboring Sylvania over the love of wealthy Mrs. Teasdale.

6:00pm Meeting: Eliot School Construction at Nazzaro Center, 30 N. Bennet St.
Discussions will focus on the new construction at the old North Bennet St. School with topics on schedule and community coordination for this exciting project. View Post

9:00am Greenway North End Parks Volunteer Day
Hoping to recruit 15-20 volunteers for a North End volunteer day to plant bulbs and start fall clean ups, the Greenway Conservancy would like to work with more of our Greenway neighbors and have created this volunteer day to better engage with individuals and groups that live in and support the North End! 10:00am NBSS Open House at 150 North St. [Also on Saturday]
North Bennet Street School (NBSS), will hold an open house for a once a year behind the scenes view of hand-skills in action. The event is free and will be held on Friday and Saturday.

9:00am NEMPAC celebrates Non- Profit Awareness Month
Celebrate non-profit awareness month with NEMPAC! We will be celebrating right in the North End at Boston Common Coffee, and will have student performers playing from 10-1045 am.

10:00am West End Mass. Memories Road Show @ The West End Museum
[150 Staniford Street, Suite 7] Bring 1-3 photos in their original format and your stories to be recorded. We will scan unframed pictures and copy digital images and return the images back to you. Preserve your memories of this wonderful neighborhood! Free and open to all!

10:00am Callahan Tunnel Rededication at 128 North St
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation would like to invite you to the Rededication of the Callahan Tunnel. The tunnel was originally opened on Veterans’ Day in 1961, and was named in memory of Lt. William F. Callahan Jr. In conjunction with the rehabilitation project, MassDOT has a new commemoration to be revealed in the name of Lt. Callahan. View post
