6:00pm “Craft in America” Premiere Showing at North Bennet Street School
New PBS TV Episode of “Craft in America” premieres at North Bennet Street School, the school will host an exclusive first screening of “Craft in America: Service.” The new episode tells the story of craft in the military by documenting the power of the handmade to inspire, motivate, and heal. View Post for more information.

6:00pm Greenway Ramp Parcel Study Meeting at City Hall, 9th Fl
MassDOT continues to consider options for covering the open ramp portions of Central Artery/Tunnel Parcels 6, 12 and 18 along the Rose Kennedy Greenway, resulting from environmental commitments made as part of the Central Artery/Tunnel project. MassDOT and BRA officials are continuing to study options to define potential cover alternatives and are planning a follow up from the recently held second public meeting that took place on September 30th.

6:00pm Sacco Vanzetti Case Revisited at NE Library, 25 Parmenter St.
The Sacco-Vanzetti Case will be revisited by Christopher Daley, who recounts the saga of Italian immigrant anarchists Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, including the robberies in Bridgewater and Braintree, the famous trial at Dedham, and seven years of attempts to receive a new trial. 9:00am St. John School Grandparents’ / Special Friends’ Day [9 Moon St, Boston]

6:00pm Doggie Trick or Treat with Ruff – Meet at Richmond St. Dog Run
Meet at Richmond Street dog run for a Doggie Trick-or Treat through the North End and follow it with celebrating amongst neighbors and some “spirits!”

6:30pm The West End Museum Italian Film Series: The Great Beauty
[West End Museum, 150 Staniford St, Suite 7, Boston]  Honoring the work of Italian director and writer Paolo Sorrentino. Naples native Paolo Sorrentino co-wrote and directed this film, which won the 2014 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film as well as the Golden Globe and BAFTA. All screenings are free and open to the public, pre-registration required.

6:30pm Old North Speaker Series: Jane Lyden Rousseau
[Old North Church, 193 Salem St, Boston] Underneath Old North Church is a historic burial crypt and the remains of many of the city’s early settlers. Archaeologist Jane Lyden Rousseau will present findings from her research of the tombs, stories of life and death in historic Boston, and other tales from the crypt. After the talk, visitors are invited to take a guided tour of the tombs to explore this fascinating part of Boston history. Free of charge and open to the public!

Friday, October 31 Halloween

2:00pm Haunted House & Carnival at Nazzaro Center Playground
ROC Teen Saturday Halloween Carnival and Haunted House will feature rides, bounce houses, free pumpkin patch, pumpkin carving station, free pizza, candy, crafts and music. All welcome, starts right after school!

6:00pm NEMPAC Halloween Party on the Prado [Paul Revere Mall, Boston]
Games, activities, pizza and more! Come one, come all in costume! This event is free and open to the public. Sponsored by: Mayor Martin J Walsh, State Representative Aaron Michlewitz, City Councilor Sal LaMattina, and State Senator Anthony Petruccelli. Suggested donation is $20 per family.
