Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park (ähts): The Boston Arts Festival is designed to launch Boston’s arts season. The free festival is ashowcase of more than 40-juried visual artists who exhibit and sell one-of-a-kind and limited edition works of art including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, pottery, jewelry, fine glasswork, woodwork, mixed media, and photography. The visual arts are complemented by a performing arts & interactive arts program. Past performing arts groups include Boston Ballet, Blue Man Group, Boston Lyric Opera, and larger music groups Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Mean Creak and Gentlemen Hall.

1:00pm Paul Revere House: Colonial Dance Tunes and Love Songs
[19 N Square, Boston] In the guise of itinerant musicians, Al Petty & Deirdre Sweeney perform popular 18th-century tunes such as “Mr. Isaac’s Maggot” and “Jack’s Health” on the penny whistle, flute, fife, & other instruments.

9:30pm Fireworks over Boston Harbor
For the second year in a row, the City of Boston and Summer on the Waterfront are holding Boston Harbor fireworks on the Saturday night of Labor Day Weekend. More Information.
