Zoning and Licensing Applications

  1. 81-85 Atlantic Avenue (205 Commercial Street). Commercial Wharf Realty Trust has applied to the Zoning Board of Appeal to construct a new one-story addition to the side of the existing Golden Goose market at 179 Commercial Street, to expand the market. Commercial Wharf is itself located in a Neighborhood Shopping Subdistrict, but the addition would be located in a Multifamily Residential Subdistrict where market use is forbidden. Additional violations are excessive floor area ratio and applicability of Groundwater Conservation Overlay District regulations. Anyone seeking further information should contact the attorney, William G. Ferullo.
  2. 357-361 Hanover Street. Nedia Trust has applied to the Zoning Board of Appeal to renovate the existing store and change the occupancy from retail to restaurant use for 36-40 seats and for take-out. The most recent use of the premises was the retail shop 1-800-FLOWERS, which was preceded by the restaurant Circle Pizza. The property is located in the Hanover Street Community Commercial Subdistrict, where both restaurant and restaurant with take-out are conditional uses. Anyone seeking further information should contact the attorney, William G. Ferullo.

ZLC meetings are open to the public.

Abutters are encouraged to attend!
