The conditional use application to allow the opening of Restaurant Rigoletto at 115-117 Salem Street received a 23-7 supportive vote on May 8th from the North End / Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA).

Represented by Attorney Diane Modica, Salem Group LLC owners Clara Diaz, Nestor Patino and chef Alex are seeking to change the conditional use to allow for a full restaurant menu and kitchen equipment with a vent fan to the roof. The previous use only allowed for a limited cafe.

This was a follow up presentation to the group after discussions with abutters at 44 Prince Street, who stated at the meeting that they support the application. The location was formerly occupied by Sapori di Napoli / Cafe Napoli which has been closed for over a year.
