North End Against Drugs (NEAD) Hosts Family Dinner at Annual Spring Recital

On Monday night, May 19th, the Nazzaro Center gymnasium was packed for the North End Against Drugs (NEAD) family dinner and scholarship award night. Rather than just raffling off the scholarship awards and eating pizza, there was a performance by the members of the Nazzaro Center’s Youth Program under the direction of choreographer Ingrid Oslund. kids who participate in the after school program performed several dance routines that they have been working on since January.

After the dance, NEAD raffled off the scholarship awards and  sponsored a family dinner with pizza from Regina’s. In total for public and private students, up to $6,000 in scholarship money was raffled off. The money was collected from generous donations from local families, people, businesses, and organizations.

A total of 11 – $150.00 gift cards to Staples were raffled off to students who attend public schools.
9 scholarships of $500.00 were raffled to students who attend paid tuition institutions.

  1. Can you please put me in touch with the correct person. I am trying to find out when the NEAD pride day is for 2015. Index to make plans to take my grandchildren for that weekend.
