Mayor Martin Walsh, Boston Fire Department members, elected officials and family members of Lieutenant Edward Walsh and Firefighter Michael Kennedy gathered on City Hall Plaza Friday afternoon to raise the BFD flag and observe a moment of silence in their honor. Commercial Street Kitchen Fire Displaces Eight Residents
Boston Fire Department responded to a second floor kitchen fire on Saturday afternoon at 470 Commercial Street. There were no injuries and the fire was contained in short order. Due to the fire and subsequent water damage, power is off at the property displacing eight residents.
