Mayor Martin Walsh, Boston Fire Department members, elected officials and family members of Lieutenant Edward Walsh and Firefighter Michael Kennedy gathered on City Hall Plaza Friday afternoon to raise the BFD flag and observe a moment of silence in their honor.  Lt. Walsh and firefighter Kennedy both lost their lives fighting a 9 alarm blaze on Beacon Street this past Wednesday. Photos by Isabel Leon, Mayor’s Office Photography.

City of Boston Announces New Freedom Trail Markings
