St. John School Students Learn Craft Trades at North Bennet Street School Program

480_DSCN8352The St. John School middle school students are participating in the North Bennet Street School (NBSS) woodworking and bookbinding classes. Students walk to NBSS once a week to participate in woodworking classes and will be participating in bookbinding classes in February.

As a result of participating in the NBSS school program, students are developing problem solving skills, improving mathematical skills and increasing confidence in their manual skills. Students employ their individual creativity within the boundaries of precise and disciplined work.

The middle school students better understand how focused, detailed effort relates to creating high quality projects.
