Experience the Olympics right here in Boston the week of January 5 – 12, 2014. Several Olympic activities are happening in the city this week including the US Figure Skating Championships at TD Garden and the BCEC. Also, the Road to Sochi event is free and in the Boston Common, beginning on Friday.
US Figure Skating Championships (two locations in Boston)
This championship occurs yearly but with the Olympics only weeks away this event has a bit more intensity because the US Olympic Skating Team will be announced. Yes you will see Olympians on ice but a bonus is you will see up and coming skaters who will be our future Olympians

On the ice: novice, junior, and juvenile skaters
Date: January 9 – 12
Location: TD Garden
On the ice: Men, Ladies, Pairs and Dance, the weekend ends with the Smucker’s Skating Spectacular on January 12.

Road to Sochi
Ever wonder what it is like to curl or try a slap shot in hockey, well this is your chance. The Road to Sochi Olympic/Paralympics Event will stop in Boston to highlight ten Winter Games Sports and Paralympic components for two sports that you will see on TV next month. An interactive day for all with entertainment and Olympic athletes appearances.
