Tracing Your Italian Ancestry to the Old Country

Come learn about genealogy and how to research your family tree! Join us for a look at tips and tricks on identifying where your family came from in Italy and how to research the family from the United States and into Italy. Rhonda McClure of the New England Historic Genealogical Society will be presenting valuable information you can use to trace your family’s history. This event will be held at the Mariners House. If you’ve never seen this historic property, this is also a unique opportunity to check it out.

Rhonda McClure is a nationally recognized professional genealogist and lecturer specializing in New England and immigrant research as well as computerized genealogy; is the compiler of more than 120 celebrity family trees; and she is the author of ten books, including the award-winning The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Online Genealogy, now in its second edition.

Her current project is the compilation of the ancestry of four Italian families who came from the regions of Genova, Lazio, Molise and Marche to all settle in Pennsylvania in the 20th Century.
