Just like Boston’s highly anticipated mayoral race, SJS’s Middle School elected their new Student Council for the 2013-2014 school year.

There was a busy week of campaigning, creating campaign posters and speeches. The results are in!  We are proud to announce the winners of the St. John School student council election are:

President – Richard Dooley
Vice President – Vinnie Coppola
Treasurer – Antonio Romano
Secretary – Mattea DelPeschio

Boston voters were concerned about the candidate’s stance on education and so was our school president.  “With the help of the student council, the Principal and the students of St. John School, I will work to make our school community stronger and SJS will be an even greater place for children to learn,” stated Student President, Richard Dooley.

The newly elected student council is hard at work planning many school activities and tag day fundraisers to benefit quite a few charities.

Congratulations to all the new officers and all the students who ran.  We are looking forward to a great year under your leadership!
