We received the following news from Modern Pastry Shop at 257 Hanover Street:

We would like to confirm that the rumors of Modern Pastry Shop taking over the vacant space of Piccola Venezia are true!

MP will be expanding to the space next door and we are hoping to be open by the holiday season. With double the space we will be able to service our customers with a larger selection of products in a more spacious environment.

We would like to thank our customers and North End residents who have supported Modern Pastry Shop and look forward to doing business with you in our new store.

  1. This take over of Modern Pastry could be the best thing to hit Hanover St.

    The owners are great people and the pastry is by far the BEST, and these people didn’t have to
    step or anyone’s toes or destroy any lives to get where they are today.

    God bless them and I hope they are very successful, they more than deserve it. HOORAY!!!!!!!!

  2. Could not agree more about Modern Pastry this move insures that the vacant space left by the departure of Piccola Venezia will be filled by people who have been vested in the community for decades & who i have the best cup of coffee in the NE.
