7:30 am – Wreath Laying Ceremony at Boston Public Garden, 9/11 Contemplative Garden

8:30 am – Flag Lowering, Moment of Silence and Reading of Names at Mass. State House Lawn

1:00pm – Mass. Military Heroes Care Package Event on Greenway Wharf District Parks (Rings Fountain)
The Mass Military Heroes Fund is hosting their fifth Care Package event for service men and women stationed overseas. The Mayor will offer remarks and thank the hundreds of volunteers who will prepare thousands of care packages. More info.

5:30pm – Film – “Extremely Loud Incredibly Close” – NE Library
This film is about an inventive 11 year old boy who loses his father in the 9/11 attack in New York. Tom Hanks stars. Run time 129 minutes. 2011

6:30pm – Friends of the NE Library Meeting

6:30pm – A Grand Tour During the Civil War: The Wheatons Go to Europe – Old South Meeting House as part of the Paul Revere Memorial Association Lecture Series
