Little Free Libraries Pop Up On Greenway

Looking for a new read? Be sure to check out the two Little Free Libraries that are now in operation right here on our Greenway parks. These “oversized bird houses” operate with no charges, cards or late fee’s – just a “take one, leave one” honor system. These homemade boxes allow neighbors to share their favorite reads and enjoy some favorites of others. The North End Park is home to one and there is also one in front of Rowes Wharf. Little Free Libraries mission is to “to promote literacy and the love of reading by building free book exchanges worldwide.” These little libraries have been an international phenomenon. They can also be found in Cambridge, Somerville, and Watertown.

“Bring a book, take a book!” For more information visit their website.
