POSTPONED: Overnight Weekend Closures and Paving on I-93N and Sumner Tunnel Ramps in North End Expected to be Noisy

6/28/13 UPDATE: Due to the rain forecast, this work has been postponed. New dates will be distributed when available.

The following flyer is being distributed by MassDOT in the area of Endicott, Stillman, Cooper, N. Margin and Cross Streets in the North End. In addition to the ramps being closed overnight, MassDOT is preparing residents and businesses: “There will be noise associated with this work.”

Onramp to I-93 North and Sumner Tunnel onramp at ENDICOTT & CROSS Sts
to I-93 North to close over night on Friday, June 28 & Saturday June 29

The Haymarket onramp to I-93 North, located on Cross Street, and the Sumner Tunnel onramp to I-93 North will be closed Friday night June 28, 2013 at 8:00 PM to Saturday morning June 29, 2013 at 9:00 AM for milling and slab washing. There will be noisy work associated with these operations.  Also, the ramp will be closed on Saturday evening June 29th at 10pm until Sunday morning June 30th at 10am for waterproof membrane work and paving operations.

Northbound vehicles in the Haymarket area will be detoured north on North Washington Street/Rutherford Avenue through Sullivan Square to the I-93 North onramp at Assembly Square.

Northbound vehicles from the Sumner Tunnel will be detoured to the Government Center Exit and keep right at the end of the exit to travel north on North Washington Street/Rutherford Avenue through Sullivan Square to the I-93 North onramp at Assembly Square.
