In what looks to be a false alarm, a quick response by the North End’s Engine 8, Ladder 1 was seen on Salem Street with ladders reaching to the rooftops about 2:00 pm on a sweltering Saturday afternoon. Janine Coppola catches the action with these photos.

Chase Bank presented plans for 50 Salem Street to the North End / Waterfront Residents Association (NEWRA) on February 14th. The location at 50 Salem Street was formerly occupied by Peet’s Coffee and Goody Glover‘s before that.
