Apparent Suicide by Crew Member on John Henry’s “Iroquois” Yacht at Rowes Wharf

A crew member of John Henry’s “Iroquois” yacht apparently committed suicide on Monday afternoon while docked at Rowes Wharf, according to Boston Police. Henry is part owner of the Boston Red Sox, that issued the following statement:

Earlier today, a crew member on the vessel, M/Y Iroquois, apparently took his life aboard the vessel docked at 30 Rowes Wharf. Mr. Henry and the members of the Boston Red Sox are saddened by the news and send deepest condolences to his family. Apparently only crew members were on board the vessel when the incident occurred.

Boston Police said that a man, roughly 30 years old, was found in cardiac arrest. Police Commissioner Ed Davis was seen on the boat after the incident. The yacht is 164 feet long and docked at the Rowes Wharf Gate A location adjacent to the Boston Harbor Hotel.
