Sunday, May 26, 2013 News & Views: Beirut Memorial Photo, Bruins Take Rangers Series

Neighborhood View of the Day:

On this Memorial Day weekend, the Massachusetts Beirut Memorial is worth visiting at Christopher Columbus Park. It is dedicated to the Massachusetts Marines who lost their lives in Beirut, Lebanon on October 23, 1983. A hidden feature of the memorial design is that voices amplify and echo back when standing in the center of the granite circle. Try it.
