Councilor Arroyo Seeks Neighborhood Advocate for Licensing Board Vacancy
Boston City Councilor At-Large Felix G. Arroyo sent a letter to Governor Deval Patrick emphasizing the importance of filling the vacancy on the Boston Licensing Board with an individual that values and recognizes the uniqueness of each of our neighborhoods in the city. The vacancy occurred upon the retirement of Daniel Pokaski as Chairman of the Licensing Board. All Boston Licensing Board Commissioners are appointed by the Governor.
As Councilor Arroyo explains, “Boston is a city of neighborhoods and we need whomever is appointed to the Licensing Board to be a person who knows Boston’s neighborhoods and puts them first.”
