A new light show at the popular Rings Fountain celebrates the 10th Year Anniversary of the Rose Kennedy Greenway. The fountain was due for an overhaul, recently completed by the Greenway Conservancy with $250k in repairs and upgrades, funded as part of the public / private partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). From the Restore St. Leonard’s committee, Carmine Guarino and Michael Bonetti, gave an update on the church’s reconstruction. The church was closed in January, 2017 for interior demolition/reconstruction, and current restoration is moving full speed ahead. The goal is to re-open the church for Christmas, 2017.
