The final performance of NEMPAC’s Winter Concert Series featured jazz music from the Scott Boni Trio. The free concert was held in the historic Old North Church, a partner in the series, on Friday March 15, 2013.
The Scott Boni Trio includes:
Scott Boni on Saxaphone – “I find true joy in bridging the gaps between Bach and Kurt Cobain and then seeing the reaction in the eyes of an audience as they take in a re-imagined version of a famous piece reset in a different style.”
John Funkhouser on Bass – John’s discography includes over 40 CDs, featuring him in various roles, including leader, pianist, bassist, arranger and producer.
Mike Connors on Drums – He performs not only on drums and percussion, but also on vibraphone as a freelance musician throughout New England in a variety of settings.
