For April 2013, this month’s wallpaper calendar photo recognizes Patriot’s Day. If you walk up to the bell tower at the Old North Church, this is one of the windows you see on the way up where two lanterns are appropriately placed on the sill. Patriot’s Day falls on Monday, April 15th this year. I hear there is some sort of race that day too. The night before Patriot’s Day on the 14th, the Old North Foundation holds the Lantern Ceremony. All are welcome. See details and ticket information.
How to make this your desktop or mobile wallpaper background:
- Select the image size that best fits the resolution and proportions of your screen or mobile device. This may require a bit of trial and error.
- When the slide comes on your screen, select View Full Size on bottom-right (this is important),
- Right-click on the image and choose “Set as Desktop Background” or “Use as Desktop Picture” or something similar depending on your specific system.
- For mobile devices like the iPhone or iPad, you usually can tap and hold to “Save” the photo. Then, in the Photos App or Settings, select the “Wallpaper” option (on iOS, this is under the “Send To” icon). You can often adjust the position of the image on the screen before saving it as your wallpaper.
