This film tells the story of a community of immigrants and their continuing ties to their ancestral home. On the last Sunday of every August since 1688, citizens of Montefalcione, a small town near Naples, have honored their patron Saint, Anthony of Padova. When Montefalcionesi immigrants to the United States settled in Boston’s North End, they continued the devotional tradition of their hometown.
On the final Sunday in August, despite the time difference, the communities in Boston and Montefalcione hold their grand finale, a procession of Saint Anthony, simultaneously.
