
What’s Happening In The North End / Waterfront:
It is “The Bye Week” so there is no football. But, there is a lot else going on around the neighborhood.
The NEAA and NEAD Skate Date Fundraiser is on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm at the Steriti Skating Rink on Commercial Street. Raffles, Bake Sale, Nazzaro Center Band Performances, free face painting and more. There will be a Bocce Tourney – $5 per person to enter! There will also be tables from the Eliot School, NEMPAC, NEAD, NEAA and several vendor tables. Oh, and 3 hours of free public skating (skate rentals extra).
Sunday night is CityFeast 2013 to benefit Joslin Diabetes Center, starting at 6:00 pm. The city-wide dinner event features 12 restaurants (8 in the North End) to benefit Joslin Diabetes Center’s High Hopes Fund. Tickets are $150 and $100 of the ticket price is tax-deductible.
