Injured Owl Captured by Animal Rescue League on Prince Street

There are plenty of night owls in the North End, but the type seen on Saturday is rare indeed. A barred owl was spotted on Prince Street across from the DeFilippo Playground (“The Gassy”) tot lot yesterday. The owl was injured so the Animal Rescue League responded and took it for treatment, according to WCVB.com.

The owl was also seen on Prince Street railings, as captured in the photo above by Ryan Kenny.

  1. It was also hanging in the tree branches at Endicott & LaFayette Streets . Hope it comes back and helps with the rodent problem.
