What’s Going On in the North End / Waterfront

Friday, December 7th is the anniversary of the 1941 surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. At 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm, there will be a Pearl Harbor Survivors and Friends Memorial Service at the Charlestown Navy Yard, USS Cassin Young, Pier 1, hosted by the Boston National Historical Park. The USS Cassin Young is a WWII destroyer named for the U.S. Navy Commander who was awarded the medal of honor for his actions during the attack on Pearl Harbor.

At 6:00 pm, join the North End Beautification Committee (and a jolly old man) at Cross and Hanover Streets for the official lighting of the Christmas tree at the gateway to the North End. There will be hot chocolate and cookies. All are welcome. See the poster.

On Friday night, 7pm – 11pm, they come from far and wide for the annual North End Buon Natale Holiday Shopping Stroll, from 7pm to 11pm. See the flyer.

Find out the details on these and upcoming events and meetings in the Events Calendar.
