In a vote of 6-2, the North End / Waterfront Neighborhood Council, NEWNC, supported the wine, malt & liqueurs license transfer at 115A Salem Street from Giovanni Grimaldi at Sapori di Napoli to the Salem Group LLC (Nestor Patino) for a new cafe in the same location to be named, Rigoletto.
The meeting presentation and discussion largely centered around an expected support letter from the building’s condo association. The letter was not submitted at the meeting, but NEWNC voted to have their support contingent upon its receipt. The council has informed us that a letter of support from trustee Steven C. Fustolo of 115 Salem Street Condominium Trust was received on Tuesday, December 11, 2012.
In May 2010, NEWNC and NEWRA supported the current license at 115A Salem St., which was new to the neighborhood at the time. Previously, the location was Dave’s Curtains.
