Wednesday News & Views: Eerie Hanover Avenue, Library Film “Scoop,” Lovejoy Wharf Presentation and More

Neighborhood Photo of the Day:

I took this photo of Hanover Avenue on Halloween night. As one of the narrowest streets in the North End and curved lighting, it certainly has a spooky, black hole feeling to it.

    1. Hi Arthur, At night they look very similar, but this one is Hanover Ave. I know it looks like the “curve” of Powers Ct., but I was standing near the intersection of Hanover Street for this photo, as shown in this google maps link:

  1. If you had walked just past the curve our Hanover Avenue mascot (Don Leo) and family would have given you a Halloween treat and maybe even invited you in for some hot mulled cider. Perhaps next year!! LOL

  2. Perfect photo Matt!! I can just see a young maiden being approached by a mysterious stranger asking “Mary Clark? Are you Mary Clark?” Can you name that movie?
