Voter turnout was at a recent high in the North End / Waterfront on Election Day 2012. Voters appeared enthusiastic despite the long lines and the Fall chill in the air. The wait was especially long at 145 Commercial Street (Christopher Columbus Elderly Housing) where voters stood in line for over an hour all day and up to 2 hours during peak periods. The polls at the Nazzaro Community Center and Knights of Columbus had lines too but voters there said the wait was generally no more than 15-30 minutes. At the Nazzaro Center, a bake sale and raffle raised money for the Red Sox Foundation. CNN also set up a big screen at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. See North End / Waterfront election results here.
