What’s Going On Today:
Noise, loud parties and absentee landlord problems are well-known in the North End. Tonight is your chance to testify on behalf of a proposed City Council “Nuisance” ordinance allowing for fines on landlords and party-goers that repeatedly disturb the peace. To attend the hearing, head to Boston City Hall, 5th Floor, Iannella Chamber at 6:00 pm. See the post.

Also tonight is the Najarian Endowed Lecture on Human Rights featuring Ambassador Edward P. Djerejian, Founding Director, James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy, Rice University and former US Ambassador to Israel and the Syrian Arab Republic. The free lecture is tied to the opening of the new Armenian Heritage Park. The public is welcome at Faneuil Hall starting at 7:00 pm.

Adding some fun to the Lucia 35th Anniversary party on Wednesday night was well-known car dealer, Herb Chambers, who arrived in a Bugatti Veyron, the world’s most expensive street legal car at over $2 million. Chambers casually parked it himself on Hanover Street while many enjoyed posing with it, including the host, Donato Frattaroli, shown below. See more photos.
