Tree Pit Cleanup by North End Beautification Committee

The North End Beautification Committee strikes again! The group raised money to hire Valley Crest to weed and mulch the Cross Street tree pits, that were overgrown and left for naught. In addition, the Richmond Street tree pits were filled with stone dust, removing the dangerous holes. A total of seven pits were cleaned up. The committee is actually threatening to add flowers next spring … imagine that! Patricia Thiboutot shares these photos on behalf of her committee members, Allison Seavey, Dave Grant and Stephen Passacantilli.

The committee is once again planning on beautification decorations for the holidays. See last year’s photos.

  2. Thank You, Matt, for posting the photos.
Our committee members: Allison Seavey, Stephen Passacantill and Dave Grant thought that we would put our left over funds from the holiday decorations to good use.
The tree pits were needing attention. They were unsightly
and the ones on Richmond Sreet were dangerous, as well.
We hope to continue to improve the neighborhood by doing similar projects and holiday decorating.
Our campaign for funding will begin soon.
Thank you to all who contributed last year. We hope you are pleased with the results made possible by your donations.
