Devoted father of Donna Marie Virgilio, Peter C. Virgilio, and Elizabeth, all of the North End.
Dear brother of the late Anthony Virgilio.
Also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Angelo’s life will be held on Wednesday September 5th, 2012 in the Sacred Heart Italian Church, 10 North Square in the North End of Boston at 9:45am.
Visitation will be held in the Church prior to the Mass beginning at 8:30am.
Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
Angelo, or “Gabe the Painter” as many knew him, was born in Boston on December 31st, 1922. He served his country with honor in the US Navy as was a decorated veteran of WWII, and was a member of the VFW Post 144 Boston North End. He was a devoted husband and father, and a self employed painter in Boston for many years. Angelo passed away peacefully in the Spaulding Nursing Center in Boston’s North End on Friday evening after a brief illness. He was 89 years of age.

Services will conclude with Angelo being laid to rest in the Mausoleum in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
