A little more than a year after opening, El Trinfo Restaurant at 69 Prince St. has closed its business in the North End. According to Boston Restaurant Talk, the South End location remains open.
In the middle of mostly Italian restaurants and shops, El Triunfo was offering Mexican food such as tacos and burritos as well as Salvadoran dishes.
The restaurant did not have a liquor license. It was in July 2011, when the owner presented to the Neighborhood Council before opening (see video).
The location was formerly Grezzo, a raw food restaurant and then Sage before that. No word yet on something else opening in the location.
