North End natives and longtime restaurant owners, Carla and Christine Pallotta, are planning to open a second NEBO (i.e., North End Boston) restaurant in the new Atlantic Wharf complex on the waterfront at the corner of Atlantic Ave. and Congress St., according to a report in the Boston Herald. NEBO is currently located at 90 N. Washington St.
The sisters are eyeing a restaurant with a 104-seat dining room, 57-seat bar and 77-seat outdoor patio for the restaurant at 520-530 Atlantic Ave., according to documents filed with the city. The location is next to chef Jody Adams’ Trade, which is at the corner of Congress Street.
The proposed NEBO has applied for a transfer of the all-alcohol license up for sale from the old Joe Tecce’s Restaurant with a $385,000 price tag. Tecce’s filed for bankruptcy last year.
So why are the owners of the former Tecce’s applying for a transfer of an all alcohol license from Roslindale to the first floor space of the former restaurant?
55 North Washington Street, Michelle Holdings: The applicant filed an application with Licensing Board to transfer a 7-Day All Alcohol License to the first floor space formerly part of Tecce’s Restaurant. The license is currently located at “Maggy Mays” at 635-637 Hyde Park Ave., Roslindale
