Neighborhood restaurant hosts chef’s table at 25th annual Beyond Shelter Gala to benefit Friends of Boston’s Homeless.
Tresca of the North End joined Friends of Boston’s Homeless on Thursday, April 26, for the organization’s 25th annual Beyond Shelter gala. The event welcomed 700 guests to the House of Blues for tastings by 20 of the area’s top chefs, including Eastern Standard, Island Creek Oyster Bar, Ashmont Grill, and Red Lantern, and a surprise performance by Jackson Browne. Since its founding in 1987 by John Rosenthal, Friends of Boston’s Homeless has raised more than $20 million, transitioned thousands out of homelessness permanently, and dramatically increased their programs and services.
