The North End’s own Michael Dean is featured in video profile about his love for painting and the neighborhood. The production is from an Emerson blog article:
The painter is one of only a few left in the North End, with a continuing decrease in artistic interest in the area. Four galleries have closed within recent years, and there are only two other painters that are currently residents. Therefore, Dean is one of only a few preserving a piece of Boston history with beautifully painted canvases that capture the timelessness of an ever-changing city. However, the task is not an easy one.
