Update: Due to the adverse weather forecast, street sweeping on March 1, 2012 has been canceled and will resume on Tuesday, March 6th.
Don’t get towed! Mechanical street sweeping resumes in the North End in March 2012. Details below from the Public Works Department.
Sweeping in the North End and South End has been expanded to include the months of December and March.
During these months, existing posted schedules, parking restrictions, and enforcement procedures will remain in place including ticketing and towing of illegally parked vehicles.
There will be no posted street sweeping or program related parking enforcement during the months of January and February.
Adverse winter weather may impact the expanded program during the months of December and March. In the event that Public Works decides to cancel street sweeping and parking enforcement for weather related reasons, notifications will be sent out by e-mail to NO-TOW subscribers (see below) or you may contact the Mayor’s 24 Hour Hotline for updated information at 617-635-4500.
Staying Informed
Residents may sign up for sweeping schedule notifications and cancellations by registering fo NO-TOW alerts. Subscribers will be notified on the evening prior to the scheduled posted sweeping.
