The North End / Waterfront Neighborhood Council unanimously voted (9-0) to support the application of a beer and wine with cordials license transfer from the existing “G’Vanni’s” to “Pellino’s” at the same location, 2A Prince Street. The presentation and vote took place at NEWNC’s monthly meeting on Monday, November 14, 2011 at the Nazzaro Cener in the North End.

The new owner, Frank Pellino, told the group that Pellino’s Restaurant will continue to have 36 seats without a bar and be open for lunch and dinner service. Hours are expected to be roughly 11am-11pm, although a 1am closing hour will persist in the license. In addition to the name change, there will be new signage and folding windows in the front.

The NEWNC vote is consistent with support received at last week’s NEWRA meeting. The Boston Licensing Board will take up the transfer this week and make the final determination.
