Ignazio “Jerry” Catania, age 94, of Boston’s North End, passed away peacefully in his home on October 12, 2011.

He was the beloved husband of the late Catherine (Mirabella) Catania. He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews, including Nicholas Catania, Richard Catania, Patricia Smith and Nicholas Catania, Jr..

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 17th at 8:45 am from the Boston Harborside Home of JS Waterman-Langone, 580 Commercial St, Boston followed by a 9:45 am funeral mass at Saint Leonard Church, corner of Prince St. and Hanover St, Boston. Interment in Saint Michael Cemetery, Boston. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 3-7 pm. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend all services.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
