Concrete Poured at Boston’s Fan Pier Site

The first concrete pour that began this week at the Vertex Pharmaceuticals’ site at Boston’s Fan Pier.  The pour consists of 2500 cubic yards of concrete dumped into a 42-feet below grade foundation site and marks the first of five concrete placements necessary to support what will eventually hold two 18-story buildings totaling 1.1 million square feet.
