In the clip above, NECN reports on the requests by North End restaurants, Tresca and Vinoteca di Monica, to extend their closing hours to 1:00 a.m. Also, the Boston Herald covers the issue.

In advisory votes, the Neighborhood Council voted to support the application by Tresca Restaurant while the Residents’ Association voted to oppose it. For Monica’s, the Neighborhood Council voted to support while the Residents’ Association has yet to hear the application.

The Licensing Board has scheduled both hearings for January 26th, 10:00 a.m. at City Hall.

Five North End Restaurants Apply for All-Alcohol Licenses

Five North End restaurants are pursuing new and upgraded all-alcohol licenses that recently became available at the Boston Licensing Board this September. Applicants include Crudo, Carmelina’s, Strega, Antico Forno and Terramia. The limited number of unrestricted licenses are highly sought after with each valued at upwards of $300,000.
